Who we are

MetalChats is operated by StackReliant. StackReliant is the data fiduciary for the information described below.

What we collect

Business identity (legal/display name, GSTIN, city, state), contact details (phone, email, contact name), and the content you create on MetalChats — listings, auctions, bids, RFQs, quotations and chat messages.

If you use the Android app we also process: a Firebase Cloud Messaging device token (so we can deliver push notifications — you can revoke it by turning off notifications or signing out), and any photos you choose to attach to a listing, auction or chat. The app reads photos only from the picker you select them in; it does not scan your gallery.

Deleting your account

You can ask us to delete your MetalChats account and its data at any time by emailing privacy@metalchats.com from your registered address. We remove your profile, listings, RFQs and messages within 30 days, except records we are required to retain for legal or tax purposes.

Why we collect it

To operate the marketplace: authenticate you, show your verified business to counterparties, run auctions and RFQs, and enable communication between buyers and sellers.

How we use and share it

We do not sell your personal data. Your business profile and listings are shown to other MetalChats users (and, where you share a public link, to recipients you choose). We use trusted infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, email/SMS delivery) solely to run the service.

Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as required to meet legal and tax obligations. You may request deletion of your account data.
